Andrew W.K.: Andrew W.K.’s true will is to create feelings of pure joy, true fun, total love, endless freedom, and infinite possibility, using music, performance, visual art, lecturing, writing, nightclubs, television, and more.

Born in California in 1979, Andrew W.K. is a multi-faceted musician and performer. Starting his musical career at age 4 with classical piano lessons, then exploring experimental and avant garde interests, he went on to create his own extremely high-energy rock ‘n’ roll music. After having been accepted to The Art Institute of Chicago, Andrew instead to decided to bypass college, and move to New York City at age 18 to pursue art and music on his own.

Andrew has released four full-length albums, numerous EPs and special releases, including his now infamous debut album, “I Get Wet”, featuring the world-wide smash single, “Party Hard”. He’s more recently expanded into a Grammy-nominated record producer for artists such as, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Current 93, SIGHTINGS, Aleister X, Bad Brilliance, and Cherie Lily. And he co-owns the Santos Party House music venue and nightclub in Chinatown, Manhattan, New York City.

Lipstick Homicide: This Iowa City based pop-punk trio has been making Iowa proud for years, with shows across North America, Europe, and even an opening spot for Green Day.

Green Death: "this Des Moines outfit plays a classy brand of classic thrash a la Testament, Heathen and Pantera, with a little Type O Negative in there..." - Decibel Magazine

The review above sums up Green Death's sound precisely.  Green Death mixes old school Thrash, Death Metal, Doom Metal, and more to create an interesting blend of Metal. Some of the band's accomplishments to date include:

  • Debut album "The Deathening" reached #68 on the iTunes Metal Charts

  • 2nd Album "Manufacturing Evil" reached #17 on the iTunes Metal Charts, and #1 on Amazon's Thrash Metal and Death Metal charts

  • Green Death has shared the stage with Napalm Death, Trivium, Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Soulfly, and more!

Green Death will be sharing the stage with Obituary and Napalm Death at the Full Terror Assault Open Air Festival at Cave-in-Rock, IL.  They will also be playing KNOTFEST 2015 with Slipknot, Judas Priest, and many more in October in San Bernardino, CA.   They will be embarking on their first US tour called "TOTAL EVIL TOUR 2015" as they make their way out to KNOTFEST 2015.

Jack Lion: Jack Lion’s members unearth the early ’00s interest in connections between jazz and electronic music and refashion it for this current era. Striking a balance between jazz composition, down-tempo break-beats, and hazy atmospherics they have made their mark as one of Iowa City’s headiest and most adventurous bands.

MarKaus: MarKaus is a lyricist and m.c. looking to redefine the common perceptions of rap and hip/hop. A former battle rap m.c. born in Kansas City, raised in Atlanta, he calls Des Moines home for now. Markaus' subtle yet subversive rhyme delivery mixed with political and social commentary has created his own brand of hip/hop he has coined "riot music." (from Pants OFF! Podcast)
